Description of Bulletproof Helmet

M88/PASGT Helmet (US Personal Armour System Ground Troops) is designed to protect against ballistic threats and fragments with improved comfort. Used by, Law Enforcement and Military Personnel .  PASGT/M88 helmet pays more attention to protecting the side and rear of the head like the German helmet during World War II.   Its two sides completely cover the ears of the person and bulge out to protect the temple, while its rear is designed to arch up in order not to hinder the head.   The protective area of PASGT is 12% more than that of the old M1 helmet of the US army.   However, its rear protection area is still less than the German M35 helmet (M35 helmet on both sides and the rear is protruding edge, which is not available for PASGT), PASGT/M88 interior and M1 helmet is the same canvas belt, but because PASGT's center of gravity is low, so that the wearer can be more secure.   Although the material of PASGT is a composite Kevlar, it weighs 1.5 kg, while the M1 helmet made of manganese steel weighs 1.3 kg, which is lighter than the former.
