Air's Frame helmet is a modular and lightweight combat helmet launched by Crye Precision in 2011 and is currently used by special forces in a limited number of countries.The helmet was first shown at the SHOT SHOW in 2010 and went on sale in 2011

TheAir's Frame helmet is a NIJ IIIA standard bulletproof helmet made mainly of aramid/Kevlar, which in addition to being lighter than the MICH ACH 2002 helmet previously used by U.S. Special Operations Forces, also provides greater coverage.The helmet is designed to reduce weight while being more effective against debris threats. A complete medium size Air's Frame helmet weighs 1.4kg, while even the larger size weighs only 1.5kg, which differs from the current mainstream combat helmets in that the Air's Frame helmet's helmet is composed of two parts, rather than an integrated design. In this way, there is an extra ventilation gap between the two shells, which can increase the heat dissipation effect but also effectively reduce the damage caused by the explosion shock wave to the user. This gap is also less than 0.2 inches wide, so projectiles, including bullets, are generally not able to pass directly through. Although some smaller fragments may still have a chance to penetrate the void and enter the inside of the helmet.
